Efryl's Birthday

Street Children's Feeding

Before we went to Efryl's Birthday Party, the Warrior's Princesses gathered around Osmeña Park to be with the Street Children. It was such a blessed evening, surrounded with joy and laughter and just experience God's love. Not just a great event or so called " to boost one's pride"  but humble experience, a learning experience for all of us, This is what love is!

Many of them never had any experience of how to be loved. As young as 9 years old all they know is work, to get food. Most of them steal something for living, others make some lies to get money and the sad thing about this, is the reason why they do such thing. And most of them would answer, for their family. Aren't this kids supposed to be the ones that are carefree, not worrying about what to eat? but no! not this children.

Daludoy , Me and John Mark

When we started giving the sandwiches, one of children whose name is Daludoy (left side)  kept asking for more, and he has these phrase  " para kang mama, kay papa, kay kuya, sa akong mga igsoon" . It's funny somehow but its true (lupig pang tigulang). On the right side is John Mark , which I was able to have a long chat. John Mark is 15 years old, one of the Leader of these children as he shared. JM told me that he takes care of the children whome sometimes get caught from taking "rugbbies". He then reported it to their Ate's and Kuya's when these things happen. I shared God's love to JM and told Him God has a wonderful plan for his life. Along with the conversation I asked JM to come visit BCC, together with all of the children ( of course I will fetch them up hehe) . JM delightedly response by saying Yes. And to  my surprise thinking that I was so kind and so ahead of them, just then, JM asked a favor, but not for himself but for the other children. JM said "ate naa kay sanina para sa kauban nako na mga bata, gusto mi mag simba pero dili ko gusto kataw-an sila sa ilang suot. Naa koy sanina para sa ako pero para sa ila kulang." I was really stunned by these words, ( aguy mas maluluy-on pa ni sako!). God is really teaching us. All we thought is that by reaching we will be able to help them and give them care, but actually they are the ones who is teaching us the real meaning of love! We are learning and little by little, changing..

And the very exciting part, the hugging time.. ehehhe.. well God made it easy for us. It's Him that is in us that made all of that possible. To God be the glory!

There's more to come. See yah!
