We often hear or read this phrase anywhere "May Forever" and others would say "walang forever". For me, I strongly believe that there is forever, however that depends on what we are talking about. I would rather believe that there's no forever when it comes to pain, sufferings, problems or persecution. And I would rather believe that there's forever when it comes to LOVE. Ikaw saan mo gustong may forever? sa pain o sa love? Well, most of us would rather believe on love that is forever than pain eternally.
But sadly, the truth is, both are real and could be our "forever"
Let's check this out:
Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
2 Thessalonians 1:9
They will be punished with everything destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.
Matthew 13:50
and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13:50

How about this:
Philippians 3:20-21
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Revelation 21:4-5
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new". Then he said, "write this down, for these are trustworthy and true."

So both are real! May Forever!
As much as we would like to have the happy forever, the thing is, it boils down to what we do. Even the life that we have now, we have the option or a choice how we live our life. Live life like in Hell or live life to the fullest in God. This is something that we all have the chance, the right ( like everybody's shouting about their rights, oh ito na, may right to choose ka dini!). If you don't believe, it's like you don't believe that when you jump off the cliff you'll die. But whether you believe or not you will die when you jump off the cliff. That's the same thing with Heaven and Hell. We may not believe on either but it does not change the fact that there's that two "Forever".
Now it so hard to be good, be perfect, be generous, be patient, be caring, be loving.. be whatever, all the time. We loose control sometimes, we loose patient, we loose heart sometimes. We are coward sometimes, a liar most of the times ( tsk!). What can we do, when we can't be perfect? What will be our forever then?
Our Father is such a loving Father that he provided us a way out, a savior saving us from ourselves, from our own sinful nature, which we can't buy with what we have but only receiving it! This is something we can have with out us purchasing it. This is very opposite to the principle we know when we want something physically, you need to spend a lot to have, and yet have nothing in the end. While in our Father we don't need to spend all but we need to do is just receive!
Our Father is pointing at his Son Jesus. Whom he chose to save his people and by receiving him will have eternal life "forever" (glorious forever).
John 14:6
Jesus answered,"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. "
John 14:6
Jesus answered,"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. "
We may fail, commit mistakes but when we live life with Jesus we will always have a repentant heart. A heart that is willing to humble an accept mistakes and willing to change. When we have Jesus its hard to be a liar, not to be generous, not to be patient, not to be caring, not to be loving, and not to be whatever is good. Because we all know its simply who he is, all the good in us!
Many of us would want to have the glorious forever but we must remember "It's our Choice".
