v4 > "There are still too many men. Take them down to the water, and I will sift them for you there. If I say "This one shall go with you,"he shall go; but if I say "This one shall not go with you,"he shall not.
v5 > So Gideon took the men down to the water. There the Lord told him, "Separate those who lap the water with their tongues like a dog from those who kneel down to drink."
v6 > Three hundred men lapped with their hands to their mouth. All the rest lap the water with their tongue.
In this story where God chose 300 Men to fight the battle against the Middianites. God chose the 300 men according to their actions or their response to the test God gave them. ( by how they drink water from the spring)
"our Actions reflects who we are" regardless of whatever the situation is, or time. Our Actions will make us or break us.
The 300 Men
> shows Zeal with Wisdom - Proverbs 19:2;
although they are thirsty they uses the correct manner or the
right way in the eyes of Lord to response to their need. They have the passion and they acted on their passion with wisdom which is
pleasing to God.

Doing not the shortcuts shows humility and honoring God. It is us showing God that we can wait on Him and we trust Him as we wait.
Everything is a process. Jesus uses His hands first to pray before He speak to men. Don't forget to give thanks to God before receiving anything from God.
> shows Passion in action -

> shows Self-control, Spirit-filled

> shows Decency, ethics or moral
- These men who use their hands to get water to their mouth to drinks, shows ethics or the right way to do it. Unlike the rest who use their tongue like a dog to drink water from the spring. God's people should be the first one to be seen and known as decent people, in actions, in words. The way we walk, we dress, we talk, we mingle ( dili galasgaw, dili unethical, dili pasaway...maka disqualify sa battle, pero pwede mag change!)
> shows that God is not just up to Quantity but Quality too!
Let's count ourselves in. Be!
